I specialise mainly in the translation of various documents and film subtitles from English into French, but I also offer transcription of French audio files and proofreading services.

Translating and attention to detail

Translating does not consist only in a good knowledge of terminology and a correct use of grammar, but also in the capture of all details and subtleties so that the original message is conveyed with the utmost accuracy.

Attention to detail regarding meaning, spelling and figures is also of vital importance. In addition the finished product should reflect the source document style and must give no indication that it is a translation. This is why it is essential that any translation is done by a native speaker of the target language.
